Social justice activists decry alleged animal cruelty whilst protesters claim that police horses are part on an intimidation strategy.
Right now, let's look at an alternative community news perspective noting the benefits of this program that's at risk of getting cut:
Northeast News: "The Mounted Patrol represents community policing at its core by building relationships with community members of all ages through the simple act of riding a horse. With the very real war on police in full swing, what better resource to have at the department’s disposal than a unit like the Mounted Patrol that breaks down all manner of barriers, racial, socio-economic, et al, just by the very virtue of the fact that an officer is riding a large four legged mammal, – not a common sight in the city’s urban core to be sure."
You decide . . .
Great column. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose horses infuriate fat ugly bull dyke women.
ReplyDeleteThe MAGA hat photoshopped onto the horse is cuhlassic!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people think that a police man on a horse is more approachable than a police man on foot? For me, the horse is not a bridge, it's a barrier, & when they are used for crowd control, that is exactly the point. The horse is a barrier & deliberate chosen for intimidation.
ReplyDeleteByron, nobody gives a shit about your thoughts on the matter. Please fuck off back to WV you pigfucking piece of trash.
DeleteByron, perhaps you've been approaching the horse from the wrong end.
ReplyDeleteTry to change and not talk to the southern end of a north-bound animal!
You're welcome!
If the goal is crowd control, a bit of intimidation is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteHey byron, maybe the horse would be more friendly if you'd stop trying to fist it in its ass you degenerate!
ReplyDeleteThat screaming bitch is the one who killed the horse in Kessler Park and gnawed on it's raw flesh.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Gives the horses something to do. It's the green solution since we're not using cars/motorcycles
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would ever get tired of seeing horses wearing ball caps. Dogs wearing sunglasses, also.
ReplyDeleteusing horses to police is not animal cruelty.
ReplyDeleteThere is no 'war on police'.
