This cash grab is good news but the underlying drama is that local residents are on the hook for MILLIONS MORE despite so much financial support. Checkit:
TMC looking to grow with $18 million NICU expansion
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It's campaign season for Truman Medical Center. The center is launching the "big campaign for tiny miracles," an effort to expand the hospital's NICU unit. The $18 million project has raised $12.5 million so far: $10 million from the Sunderland Foundation and another $2.5 million from the Hall Family Foundation.
Get a clue Tony, Truman does ~ $150M in uncompensated care and receives ~ $25M from the city to take care of those in need, Without that charity care fromTruman many people would go without needed healthcare in our community.
ReplyDeleteYeah, hospitals that care for the poor are making CASH GRABS!!! SCREW THOSE POOR PEOPLE!!! WHY DON'T THEY HAVE JOBS??? WHY DON'T THEY STAY HEALTHY???
