TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! COUNCILMAN SCOTT WAGNER 'KILLA CITY' COMMENTS EVOKE ANGER AMONG URBAN CORE VOTERS!!!

This year Kansas City's violent crime and homicide uptick has proven to be a touchy subject that hasn't elicited any new solutions or even a hint at a new plan.

Mayoral candidates in the upcoming election would rather promise "affordable housing" freebies or offer ethereal talk of job creation than address a lingering problem that has only worsened over the 8 years of Mayor Sly's tenure.

Even worse, mere discussion of the KCMO crime problem risks push back from many inner city voters who don't like one-dimensional discussion of their neighborhoods.

EXAMPLE:

COUNCILMAN SCOTT WAGNER AND HIS DEPICTION OF "KILLA CITY" INSPIRES ANGER AMONG MANY URBAN CORE VOTERS AFTER A RECENT FORUM!!!

Here's the Councilman in his own words:

Some might think the comment is innocuous whilst others see it as a stereotypical, simplistic view of the urban core and the myriad of problems confronting diverse communities.

You decide . . .

  2. Can't win either way. At least wagner is talking about the problem. Most of the other candidates don't have any idea what's really going on in this city and they keep serving up happy talk.

Have you heard Jolie? She sounds like a damn commercial.

    1. ^^^^^ Wanger isn't afraid to call out this city's reputation. That's a plus in my book. And has has racked up a lot of no votes on the airport. Another bounus.

    2. He's not the best candidate but I'm voting for him because it's time that the Northand has representation.

  3. In 2017, the year of 150 murders in KCMO, 88% of the victims were black.
It wasn't possible to ascertain a similar percentage for the murderers because only around 50% of homicides in KCMO are ever solved due to such little cooperation by residents.
In spite of many millions of dollars wasted on fake and completely ineffectual and accountable nonprofit organizations, one new program after another rolled out, and even social workers added to the PD roster, it is not possible to work toward solving an issue until the actual real problem is identified.
    Wagner's comment is a start.
So no wonder the usual suspects don't like it.

    1. If he champions a program of total negro eradication I'd get behind him. Negroes have been, are, and always will be the problem unless we do something drastic.

      That's your "lingering problem."

    ^^^That!

I'd love to hear a voter preface a question of substance with that at some mayoral town hall. Any candidate afraid to call out problems made worse by the Mayor's race to get shiny objects named after him is too much a coward to be considered for the job.

Been known as killa city since the 90s

  6. What has Wagner done in his 8 years on the council to change the perception of "killa city"?

  7. diverse

LOL that's a concept make up long ago by the real estate industry.

How much diversity do you see in Leawood or Mission Hills as example.

  10. I’m proud of him for calling it what it is, it’s the truth that no one dares speak of, now if we can just get someone to say who the problem is.......

  11. Jean Petersucker Baker is not as dumb and worthless as we all think. She knows that a hood rat must remain on the streets so he can continue to kill more hood rats. She is very successful in making sure hood rats don’t get convicted of their crimes.

Is it possible to fix eight years of accelerated social decay before summer hits?

  14. Boo hoo. It is a killa city. Local black males rap about that term all the time. Let’s stop pretending the urban core is some kind of classy enclave where the youth exhibit manners in public.

How come zip codes in Leawood don’t have drive by shootings on homes where little kids get hurt, but KCMO does? The laws are the same against murder in both places. Is it because in KCMO baby daddy is in prison for the same thing his son is now doing? Is it because getting good grades is acting “too white”? Snitches get stitches, right? A young black male that wants to succeed is perceived as an Uncle Tom?

It’s two different cultures. Culture is the problem and the black culture of urban KCMO needs to change. I listened to the radio the other night of the forum with the candidates running for mayor. They all kept talking on and on about gun control. Gun control this and gun control that. That’s not the problem. Glorifying violence and abuse against women is. Yeah so let’s just go the way of Chicago and enact super strict gun co from measures and that will stop the violence. All these mayoral candidates had no real solutions to the blood on the streets. Just a bunch of no solution democrats looking to live off the high hog.

Imagine being a fly on the wall of one of the KCMO high schools during a break time and hearing what the conversations were. It would be disturbing and sad at the same time.

  15. Once again, Tony Botello participates in perpetuating black privilege. And black privilege is defined as never, ever divulging the reality of black crime in local, state, and national media, so as to protect the black community from unfair stereotyping pattern recognition in the press would quickly confirm as fact.

    Yet another case.

  16. These candidates, who have been on the council for the last 4 - 8 years, amaze me when they suddenly discover that KC has crime, neighborhoods, potholes, and voters who think we're on the verge of fiscal insanity. Maybe terms should be two years.. so it's harder to forget us.

  18. Scott doesn't have a chance BUT I do like some of what he says. At least he's being somewhat honest which is more credit than I can give the rest of them.

  19. What's the big deal he's right. Why make up a story.

Quoted from above. Kidding me? The press will never confirm the obvious as fact. NEVER!!!!!!!!!
