TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! WAVE OF ANTI-CATHOLIC HATE EMERGES AFTER PRAIRIE VILLAGE PETITION DEMANDS SAME-SEX ACCEPTANCE FROM ST. ANN SCHOOL!!!

As St. Patrick's Day approaches it's important to remember that hostility toward the Irish was often justified by way of intolerance against their faith. Anti-Catholicism has historical roots in American nativism that is often denounced by progressives in current conversations about immigration. However, some of the very same hostility toward Catholics has resurfaced from advocates for LGBT rights after a Prairie Village church declined admission of a student pushed by same-sex parents.

Background on the story:

"A petition signed by more than 1,000 catholic parishioners at both St. Ann Catholic Church in Prairie Village and more than 20 other parishes in the metro, all disagreeing with the decision by St. Ann to exclude students based on the sexual orientation of their parents."

Credit where it's due, Pitch reporter David Hudnall's tweet sparked the MSM wave of interest in the story.

But . . .

AMID PROGRESSIVE OUTRAGE AGAINST SAME-SEX DISCRIMINATION, COUNTLESS COMMENTS VILIFY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THEIR BELIEVERS!!!

To start with, in comments reacting to Mr. Hudnall's journalistic tweet the anti-catholic acrimony is palpable.

Here's a look at a few choice comments that might be seen as hate speech if they were directed against any other belief system:

"On the other hand, if your a pedophile priest the “church” will happily conceal your crimes and ignore your victims."

"The child is better off as far away from Catholicism and the Catholic Church, as possible. They're monsters."

"Ah, the Payday Loan Church! Why does this not surprise me? WWJD: Stay away if you are gay but please show up with your dirty money......."

From that point, a wave of anti-Catholic sentiment In "perfect" Prairie Village has emerged in one social media thread after the next as reaction to this story intensifies.

And so, the cycle of hatred continues with quite a few advocates for "inclusion" expressing outright hostility and contempt for a faith community that hoped to avoid confusion and conflict that would have unfairly burdened a student.

You decide . . .

  1. That's usually the way it goes. Those who constantly bemoan hatred are often some of the most hateful.

    2. Kinda sucks because you can say the Church is hateful and mean spirited but if you look at some of the comments against Catholics, the hatred is just as vile.

  2. Who cares. The church deserves every bit of the intolerance and hate it preaches. Sort of a cosmic karma thing.

  3. Blah, blah, blah. All of this fuss over a couple of nutty bulldykes.
    Don't like Catholics?
Don't be around them. Don't go to their churches. Don't give them any money. And don't put your kid in their schools.

  6. Not all, but a lot of gays hate Catholics because of the molestation that made them that way.

    Think about it.

  7. Ironic that an institution as corrupt as the Catholic Church would be exclusive to anyone.

  8. Catholic schools are same as private schools and so they can make rules and guidelines others can't. It is also a school operated by a religious organization and they have that right to teach their religious beliefs. I'm not Catholic and don't always agree with their policies but that is their choice same as it is my choice to not be a member of the Catholic religion. I'm not going to tell those who practice the Catholic faith that what they preach or believe in is wrong because to be honest my friends I don't give a damn what a person believes in faith wise as long as what they do stays in line of what the religion has been based on for centuries. If a priest breaks a law or practices in a sin as laid out by the Bible then they should be removed and face the laws of the land if such has been broken.

If the Catholics say same sex marriage and parents is wrong then so be it. I just as easy can go elsewhere if I don't agree with that same as anyone else can. But if you believe in the words of the Bible then those should be the words you hold to in your beliefs. So if you know what a church believes in then why would you place a child to be educated surrounded by those who make it clear what you're doing isn't acceptable behavior in their religious beliefs?

We are becoming a world of people who continually think we need to change everything for a select few. Why don't the LGBT groups start a religion of their own, write a Bible of their own while the rest of us will all stand back and watch a disaster in the making. Because you all know as well as I do you can't rewrite the Bible since in is based on a number of books on a historical period of time and contains the earliest know beliefs in Christianity and their religious laws. So in short they would be trying to rewrite history which they would like to do instead of making up their own LGBT based Bible.

" ... hoped to avoid confusion and conflict ..."

I don't believe that. You don't avoid conflict by taking divisive stands.

Gay marriage is legal. There is no reason for this ban. It's simply more ignorance & hatred.

  14. Gay marriage is legal.
    Gay marriage is not moral.

    That was his point, genius.

  15. Can't wait until david hudnall tweets the same thing about allowing same sex marriages at mosques!

Oh wait he's a shitty insecure loser for a failing publication

  16. This just a publicity stunt like the wedding cake guy in Colorado. That or Social Services should be making a call on the happy couple to ask why they would use their kid as a pawn and immerse him/her in an environment wherein everything the kid is being taught at home is regarded as sinful and condemning.

  17. Oh my God, 1000 signature from 20 different parishes condemn this. That basically means 50 people per church disagree with the faith they proclaim. Find another religion.

  18. Come on how much more evidence do you need to see Catholics are a seriously screwed up race?

The key is it is never to late to atone.

Without expressing an opinion on whether the decision is right or wrong-

A PRIVATE INSTITUTION CAN MAKE SUCH A DECISION.

    That's what PRIVATE means.

The Schoool of the Ozarks and Chick Filet have made decisions bringing which brought wrath down, but it is their RIGHT in this country to do so.

The Methodists just made a similar decision last week.

Lifestyle choices come with consequences. Not judging, just saying.

Strongly you suggest you become familiar with all of Leviticus' prohibitions and prepare yourself for eternal damnation.
