Kansas City area's last known Pearl Harbor survivor dies at 96

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) - The last known survivor of the attack at Pearl Harbor who lived in the Kansas City metro area has died. Dorwin F. Lamkin died Sunday at the age of 96. He was born in North Hudson, Wisconsin in 1922 and joined the United States Navy on his 18th birthday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people are dead after a crash in Kansas City, Kansas, early Tuesday morning. Police said officers were sent to the area of 55th and Freeman Avenue just after 2:30 a.m. Their initial investigation showed that one car was heading south on 55th when the driver lost control, left the road and hit a tree.

MERRIAM, KS (KCTV) -- One person is dead and two others are injured following a wreck on Shawnee Mission Parkway. One victim is in critical condition, one has moderate injuries, Johnson County MedAct says. It happened about 10 a.m. Tuesday near Mackey Street.

  1. Inconsequential politicians can't help themselves. They think they are telling a story to preschoolers who will accept what they hear.

    No adult forgets or gets confused over whether they graduated from an MPA program or not.

    Missed in this is the fact that he says he "walked" at graduation, meaning he expected to complete requirements later. Soon, even. But did not. So he put on a graduation cap and gown and actually walked in a graduation ceremony with no intent to follow through on his obligation to complete classes.
