Opposition to streetcars isn't based resistance to change or problems with hipsters. Instead, locals across the State decry voter suppression, questionable TDD tactics that even the Missouri auditor challenges and overall imposition forced upon car traffic and pedestrians.

click to enlarge STL-Style (3159 Cherokee Street, 314-898-0001), St. Louis' premier purveyor of St. Louis-centric apparel, has just dropped its latest T-shirt design, and put plainly, it is a masterpiece. Available in white, yellow, gray, blue or green, the shirt depicts the noble Loop Trolley, St.
That Delmar loop trolley costed about $51 million and it is no shorter than the KC streetcar which I read costed $102 million. And it is nostslgia driven on its face, not nostalgia masquerading as transit like our silly street car. Thanks,

ReplyDeleteYou just push it hard on social media to get the yes votes and keep all the important info out of view of your opponents, which is the general public.
ReplyDeleteKC Voters Reject Streetcar Expansion
ReplyDeleteWe'll we will show you anti progress people a thing or two!
Use Uber and Lyft!
ReplyDelete@5:07, the "LIAR" you detect is the smell of your own trousers aflame!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame that KC doesn't have this level of artistic talent and integrity - we could have a great trolley t-shirt too - goodness knows we have enough material for satire.
Or skip the pretentious horseshit entirely and do your drinking in NKC where the good times still roll!
ReplyDeleteRiders have to pay a fare in Stl so of course it's less liked. Just think how much worse the rider numbers would be here in KC if the streetcar even cost $1 to ride
ReplyDeleteIt would keep all the black people off it
DeleteStreet car is so silly. Time to ban it.
ReplyDeleteTony and the geezers don't know the difference between a trolley and a light rail system. Sad.
ReplyDeletewhat's the difference? 75 million?
ReplyDeleteStreetcar is not light rail. It is slower than a bicycle.
ReplyDeleteThe point about how the delmar trolley charges a fare is exactly right. Big deal a lot of people ride the toy train here. Is it any surprise if you give out somethin for nothin that a lot of People will ride it? Ridership will be literally zero if it charged the dollar fifty fare that metro buses charge.
