Professor Kraske And KCUR Play Favorites With Kansas City Mayoral Election 2019

Here's public radio attempting to become the new Kansas City kingmaker . . . "Kraske did not interview Clay Chastain because he does not live in Kansas City, or Vincent Lee, who does not appear to be running a credible campaign."

Take a look:

The Up To Date Guide To Kansas City's Mayoral Election

  1. In the latest "poll" some of these candidates were only 2 points ahead of the guy that doesn't live here. Not a good sign.

  2. KCUR makes the Star look right wing. Don't go by anything they say about anything.

Off topic a bit. Last evening on the news an item about Satchel Paige ball park with serious structural damage from water erosion. Here's a useful and utilized facility in Kansas City's East Side, and the city is concerned about how much it will cost to repair the damage. Why not shitcan all the wasted bucks for MLK blvd and use that to help this needed structure. Won't happen. The fat revs see no profit for them. Shame. Wake up Eastland and vote these assholes out.

  4. As a general rule of thumb I always feel stupider having listened to Kraske after a couple minutes.

  5. Kraske is noted for his brave confrontation of Confederate statues, as well as his subservient mouth jobs for any of the established clowns at City Hall.

And he looks like Beaker from the Muppets.

    1. 10:39 nails it on Krapske. Why doesn’t he move his big beak to San Fran and put it up their mayor’s rump? He’s a much better fit there.

  6. Clay is going to surprise because the public does not like fixes or pork projects over and over going to the insider gang.

He will have fresh priorities that will resonate with the public, and deal with essentials like great streets, sewers, sidewalks. Enough of the pretend posers promoting sinkholes with so little orientation to the public's agenda.

  7. A lot of candidates bodes well for the dark horse who runs contrarian to just more of the same.

The split vote lends credibility to a dark horse upset, get more candidates please, establishment ones who say Sly was great. That will be the straw that breaks the status quo back.

  8. Fugazi Phil was even behind the out of town guy. That was BEFORE the terrible video of him trying to dance with Lucas and Reed. Who the fuck is he kidding?

  9. Kraske lives in JoCo! Please stay there as part of White Flight and stay out of our business!!

  10. As usual, Kraske is trying to play every angle until it might become more obvious who will win, and then he'll try to run to the front of the parade to make believe he's leading it.
Maybe he can become the new administration's Gopher boy.
    D-lister!

  13. Excuse me!

Isn't this the same Steve Kraske who previously told everyone that Jason Kander would be the next Mayor of KCMO?

And 4 years ago, when Quinton Lucas was running for the Council, Kraske basically anointed him as a future Mayor because he was a young black man with good elocution. Can you say racism?

But all of that was before the local Machine told everyone at the Star and KCUR that they'd settled on Justus. So they're all falling in-line to endorse Justus, even though she's a very bad selection.

  14. Canady strikes me as someone trying her best for greater city
