The politicos of Kansas City are changing quickly as the world seems in upheaval and more antagonistic than ever. In the midst of election season and local biz ramping up for selling season, here's a glimpse of a few denizens of the discourse who stood out this week.
Jackson County Legislator Dan Tarwarter Advocates For Courthouse Accountability
This week Legislator Tarwater offered critical support for open government meetings at the Courthouse. His statement advocated for accountability and voter rights and this week it was the boldest political action we've seen at 12th & Oak.
Patrick Tuohey Challenges Kansas City Sales Tax With Data Driven Arguments
Mr. Tuhoey is armed with a bevy of data, research and studies to support his centre-right struggle to keep taxes low. This week his challenge against the Mayor's tax & spend agenda was exceptionally poignant and echoed a great deal of sentiment from local schools.
Clay Chastain Campaign For Mayor Garners Increasing Attention From Frustrated KCMO Voters
There's simply no denying that in this crowded field Clay's campaign is getting a lot more attention than most had expected. ReplyDeleteHe is going to get more votes than somebody who spent thousands and thousands of dollars to compete in this race and THAT person will never be able to run again. So he's actually doing the world some good.

ReplyDeleteKansas City is not smart enough to put someone humble in as mayor. They will vote for a phony money bag like Steve Miller or another clown like Quintan Lucas that will rename all the streets in Kansas City after some black person.
I’m surprised Frankie boy hasn’t screamed that dan is racist for challenging him, that’s what black people do when they’re get legitimately challenged by whitey. That’s coming, just wait, you’ll see.
ReplyDeleteWhen has clay ever been humble. He is the most self aggrandizing creep KC has ever seen.
ReplyDeleteThis is just inside baseball. It doesn't really have an impact on bigger decisions made in KC!
ReplyDeleteHe has my vote!
