A coalition of Democrats and moderate Republicans powered past objections from conservative leaders in the Kansas House Wednesday to approve Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly's Medicaid expansion proposal. Albeit a slightly revised version.

  1. This is a terrible thing for Kansas taxpayers. $550 million over the next ten years in increased taxes, but democrats don't seem to care because they think Republicans will be paying. Surprise but everyone including the people that have refused to get heath insurance and the people who just can't afford it will be hit with it too. The federal government isn't going to continue to pay the bill, in three years Kansans become responsible directly.
    Kansas democrats are about to learn that you can't continue to drink from the taxpayers tap. It is not good for the state as people with money will just leave.
