  1. To me it looks like the only candidate talking about any issues is Clay Chastain

  2. +10000, except that sLIE has spent all our grandchildren’s money on developers who could give a shit less about this shitty.

Seriously, it could take another generation of taxpayers to cleanup this disaster of a mayor and clowncil.

  3. Hopefully the pothole pansy program is still going strong. The pansies are easy for street crews to locate.

  4. Residents who are appropriately concerned about potholes in their streets and the damage they do to their vehicles don't contribute to campaigns.
Developers, construction firms, and their attorneys and hangers-on do.
And residents are working so don't have the time to spend time at city hall trying to intimidate and roll electeds on issues like renaming streets.
Revs, special interests, and other grifters do.
When the same kinds of people get elected and re-elected only the delusional would hope that the results will change.
    They will not.
    It never changes.

  5. If Clay was going to fix anything he would start in Virginia, where he lives. Stop spamming that guy!

  6. The potholes aren’t getting fixed until some developer says to fix them. That isn’t likely to happen.

  7. How about zero, since mayoral candidates don't get in a street department truck, grab a shovel and fix potholes.

Also potholes show up because of rough winters - freezing and thawing - not deferred maintenance. Pretty well known unless you're a moron or a shill.

  11. 7:38 nails it. 7:48 mayors don't fix potholes but their decisions impact whether or when said potholes get fixed. Yes potholes are going to happen but how fast they get fixed is ultimately the responsibility of the mayor and council.

  13. We need to fix the pot holes in the 18th and vide district. Hey Lucas and red- How about $15,000,000 for this project. And Sly can appoint a new committee to oversee this project. 10 People with full benefits.

  18. Did you know: the same guys fixing those pot holes have been busting ass trying to clear streets for geezers who bitch about everything, only to have to turn around and bust ass and fill pot holes during our brief respite from shitty weather. The more you know, right?

Also, there's 30+ job opening for Public Works duties related to street plowing and fixing pot holes. Maybe some of you twats who bitch non stop should apply.

  19. I will vote for Clay just to stop the KCI mess. I will argue with him about the toy trains which won’t get much traction anyway. Clay will stop the developers who are robbing the city. No more cash for 18th vine, downtown and a new bridge. Clay please just lower my water bills.

  20. 7:48 nailed it. To those who responded they're not repaired fast enough, you can't patch the street when it's still covered with ice/snow because it sleeted or snowed again. You have to wait for the weather and temperatures to stabilize and clear up.

This it the midwest in the time of climate change. If you don't like freeze/thaw cycles (which is really what you're complaining about) move to a warmer climate with the rest of the boomers crying about how not enough people are addressing your discomforts.

It's ironic the snowflakes can't handle the cold.

  21. Oh, please. Some of these potholes have been there for months. We have a couple on our street that have been there for years.

  22. E. 63rd street had so many potholes last summer that a refugee from Tajikistan would feel right at home.

  23. The number of pot holes is unusual.. I wonder if the city cut back on good asphalt..all the roads seem to be falling apart or cracking.,splitting.

  24. ^^and what are you prepared to do about it? Bitch on a blog?? Bitch please. Move! That should take care of it. The rest of us don't want to hear from a bunch of good-for-nothing crybaby bastards! Copy that dolt?

  27. How come there aren't as many potholes in JOCO? i work in JOCO and live in KCMO and it's night and day. Are they using a different material for roads? Pot holes are getting really bad and we haven't even heard a single word from the council or mayor on this because they're too busy jacking themselves off over queer eye and the airport.
