TKC MUST SEE!!! COUNCILMAN QUINTON LUCAS STANDS UP FOR FAIR WAGE FIGHT IN LATEST MAYOR CAMPAIGN CLIP!!!

The sordid topic a government mandated higher minimum wage continually sparks debate across Kansas City.

However, Missouri voters spoke loud & clear when they recently approved a modest increase in 2018.

Now, Councilman Lucas makes the fair wage fight one of the main distinctions of his campaign.

Councilman Quinton Lucas: "I've fought to raise the minimum wage in Kansas City. As Mayor, I will remain committed to building a Kansas City where everyone has access to a living wage."

  1. Somewhat risky, business owners vote more frequently than their employees and they're not going to like this.

  2. In a bi-state, multi-county and municipal region like KC, this is a perfect way to drive small businesses OUT of your city.
    Mindless pandering at its best.
But with the menagerie of mayoral candidates in this election, surely someone can top this with something even more stupid!

  3. Of course a drunk who has lived off affirmative action his whole life supports a gubmint mandated minimum wage.

  4. Uh we have bigger problems then this.

  5. He doesn't mention the higher prices and the ensuing terminations due to higher wages. Retailers and fast food places are adding self serve kiosks to eliminate $15 an hour jobs and low income folks won't be able to afford fast food when it costs $10 bucks for a burger.

  6. He’s trying to sucker the low hanging fruit for votes, he can’t do one damn thing to change minimum wage.

  7. He does realize Obama is not longer President right?

When asked who would ultimately pay for all his social justice initiatives, Quinton Lucas pointed to KCMO taxpayers and said, "It's always been EWE!!!"

  11. This is a vote for me trick that is so old but people still fall for it. Don't forget all of the money sunk into 18th and vine and he wanted even more after it failed. So If you get a raise on your job he's going to sink it into more failing crap.

You folks in Brookside have your Quinton Lucas signs out already. Foolish people.

  12. He forgets that the only people who will vote for him do not work, and therefore minimum wage levels have no interest to his only constituency.

And the Lucas yard signs are just fire insurance after threats have been made, they have no connection to how votes will be cast.

  13. Anyone know who has the highest minimum wage in America? That's right...Vegas baby! Yet another reason why...

  15. First two comments make good points. Not sure how I feel about this idea but I do like seeing Democrat politicians getting back to core economic and worker issues instead of all the LBGTQ whatever fascination that seems to dominate the narrative nowadays.

  16. So has Quinton ever said why he was passed out intoxicated in front of a gay bar in Lawrence?
