TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CORRUPT KANSAS CITY STAR WILL ENDORSE JOLIE JUSTUS FOR MAYOR!!!

Tonight we share FIRST word from directly inside the newsroom of a fading local institution struggling to remain relevant despite declining subscriptions and faltering ad sales.

Here's the story . . .

THE KANSAS CITY STAR WILL ENDORSE COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS FOR MAYOR IN THE 2019 PRIMARY!!!

Two reasons we need to put this on blast as a bit of service journalism that better informs our local Democracy:

1 - Watch newspaper coverage of the contest. It's slanted in the favor of Council Lady Jolie and pushes their pick above everybody else.

Dos - Right now it's unclear if Council Lady Justus can make the primary as her airport deal is quickly falling apart and she'll be forced to makes some unpopular decisions very soon to keep the deal alive. Newspaper help is a must if she plans on getting any name recognition outside of Midtown.

Mayoral candidates are still fighting over the second endorsement that The Star is likely to offer. However, this time around they seem to be gearing toward keeping an African-American candidate out of the primary like most of the local developer-focused establishment.

Meanwhile, smart candidate would be better off making their play on TV news and the Internets given the increasingly limited and narrow reach of the newspaper.

  1. Better title: KC according to the daily Johnson County Kraske.

    1. Figured as much. Jolie would be one of the worst decisions that KC could make for a mayor. She didn't do much to fight crime and she is bankrupting KC at the airport. Really poor choice by the newspaper. I am hoping they'll pick Miller for their second endorsement.

    2. Actually, it's a VERY SMART decision. They obviously know their readers will vote to make history with Kansas City's first LGBT mayor and a female mayor as well.

  2. And know you know what bankrupted Kansas City.

  3. I'm certain there will be derogatory and stupid comments that follow from you boys but I hope that some of the readers realize that we need strong women elected officials like Jolie. She isn't just the best candidate for the job, she is one of the strongest women in all of Missouri and will do a wonderful job in representing Kansas City on the national stage.

Think about it. The governor of Kansas is a female, in Johnson County Sharice Davids won and we'll see many more women take over the Senate and keep the House in 2020.

The old Republican white male domination days are over. #Timesup. Women will not vote to be subjugated by men any longer and that's why the Republican party must change or face disappearing. Any party, state or city that doesn't elected women will face an inevitable demise because more than half of regular voters are women and we've decided that we aren't going to be pushed around any longer. I am looking forward to Kansas City Mayor Jolie Justus and will be so happy when a lot of her haters are proven wrong and look stupid on election day.

    Our is now.

    The future is female.

    1. Jolie isn’t strong. She is a woman and weak minded and although she is a liar, she has a very weak will. She is very stupid, which is probably why Angela likes her.

  6. Jolie is the airport mayor now. Nobody can beat her.

  7. I know a flaming liberal that knew her very well in HS and college and even they say she is the biggest train wreck they’ve ever known. Just what KCMO needs now, some kerosene to throw on the fire. Geniuses like Angela K would vote for Aileen Wuornos or Lizzie Borden as long as they had a vagina. People that base their vote solely on gender, race, etc. do not have the mental capacity to participate in the elective process.

Oh, and shut the hell up Angie, nobody wants to hear the hate that spews out of your mouth. Men aren’t the problem, you are.

  11. 9:29 calm down sweetie, you’re girlfriend isn’t capable of being mayor, sorry not sorry.

  12. 9-26 please grow up. I don’t have a problem with women as elected officials so put away your straw man. Tulsi 2020

I have a problem with Justus though because I am tired of Democrats who are so obsessed with LBGTQwhatever that they ignore core economic and worker issues. And she’s unwise with public incentives for development. And the airport nonsense.

    Oh yeah, and tulsi 2020.

  13. No doubt, the moron supports the "New Green Deal" and the usual, Tax And Spend bullshit that sends cities into graveyard spirals all over the Progressive Pantheon that sends us all into a South African/Zimbabwe/Detroit/Birmingham/East St. Louis/St. Louis (The list grows like chickweed in the fuckin Delta) dystopian death----------------

    But-------------------

It's ok, you fuckin dumb ass white women feel good when you vote, cause you have the "High Ground".

Send your children into violence that they, because you, you dumb fucks, have no idea, how they are going to handle it.

    They won't.

Just put a bullet it your kid's head now and save them the pain of 2035's definition of "DIVERSTIY" you dumb cunts.

I agree with Angela about the need to elect woman, but not Jolie. She is not a strong women. Did she stand up to James? Did she even bother to represent the interests of her constituents? Does she even remember what district she's supposed to be representing?

A vote of Jolie is a vote for James.

You don't need a mayor to represent the city to the rest of the world. You need a mayor who is myopic & only sees Kansas City. You need a mayor who will take back your city from the criminals who actually rule the streets, now, a mayor who will support the police & empower them to reduce the murder count, a boring mayor who will fix the potholes & the sewers & keep the streets plowed.

You don't have any good candidates.

    1. Byron,
There is no perfect candidate, but don’t you think Clay is the closest thing to what you described? Mark wasn’t perfect either but he was a helluva improvement over the clown that’s there now.

  17. I agree with Byron for once. God help me.

  18. Absolutely anybody but Jolie Justus!!!

  19. Byron's right on this one. Jolie is a tool for developers and special interests. She'll make Sly look like a fiscally responsible mayor.

  20. Byron forgot that we need a mayor that will take back our city from the crooks they run it.

  22. Identity politics at its best!
Don't bother thinking about experience, expertise, track record, abilities, or issue priorities.
Just go down the identity political list and be sure to check off as many as possible:
    Sexual orientation
    Gender pronoun preferred
    Minority group identified
    Special interest legislative focus
    Political part affiliation
Justus did next to nothing in the state senate and has a terrible track record as a council member.
She thought a secret meeting at an exclusive private club where an offer for a no-bid contract for a $1.5 billion project was appropriate.
Her chairing of an "Anti-Crime Task Force" was such a joke that ove a third of the participants stopped coming to the meetings, which lasted over a year.
Those two performances alone should disqualify her for consideration for much of anything.
The airport project will be the greatest public expense in KCMO in many years.
And the murder rate of over 10 homicides every month continues unabated.
    Zero for two for Justus.
KCMO is already the laughingstock of the country.
When you're in a hole, stop digging.

  23. Make history voting for a woman and queer? Is that what people have come down to?

Does anyone vote according to who is a better candidate, or just vote for someone because of gender? The future is female?

Yes Angela K has it right, and her post is the most ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Since liberals do not believe in biological gender how can some liberals claim, on TKC, KCMO needs a "woman" for mayor?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well that tells me she is the pinkest of the group. The Soviet Star has spoken.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Angela K is a stupid cunt 7:02

  27. Jolie's been there four years and in State government before that. She's done nothing at either level, doesn't answer constituents inquiries. She bombed the crime commission, totally screwed up the airport, yea let's pit her in charge. She's done nothing, she's a loser. Clay will lead the way!

    ReplyDelete
  28. ^^^ Clay lives in Virginia. He is not from Kansas City and will not be mayor of this city.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No one is against a female or LGBT candidate for mayor. The problem is her views, political history and support for bad policy. Nothing else. If she wins it'll be S'lie 2.0. It'll be more tax giveaways to private entities, the continuing de-prioritization of schools, infrastructure, and safety and more economic risk and burden on KCMO taxpayers That is it.

All she cares about is furthering S'lies bad agenda.

TBH, I'm not sure anyone running for Mayor is going to be much better. I thought Steve Miller or Phil Glynn may have different views on incentives and such. But I'm not sure I've seen enough evidence to make me believe that sooner or later they'll just be more of the same. I know Glynn voted against a TIF project when his was on the TIF Commission and that pissed S'lie off to the point where S'lie kicked him off the Commission. But I have haven't heard a firm stance against TIFs and incentives to private corporations from him or Miller. So until I see otherwise, both are probably more of the same.
