Even fanboys find it heart to embrace the sports talker after he glossed over his time spent losing playoff games in this town. Take a look:
Tony Gonzalez tweets apology to Kansas City after Hall of Fame comments
This past Saturday at the NFL Honors, the league confirmed what we were all expecting-former Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. After the announcement, Gonzalez spoke to Atlanta reporters about finishing his last five playing years with the Falcons.
Kansas City deserves everything said about it. High murder rate rate, heavily in debt, failing infrastructure, failing basic services, failed open spaces in Swope Park, failed city minions, and the list goes on.
ReplyDeleteKansas City has it's problems. No doubt about that. But Fuck Tony Gonzalez. He was never really one of us to begin with. He would have much rather have been drafted by the Giants, Jets, Bears or one of the California teams. Only reason he stayed for as long as he did was because Carl Peterson pretty much gave him whatever he wanted financially. Mostly because Carl was an egotistical bastard who loved surrounding himself with big name in addition to wanted to say, "I drafted all these HoF'ers....".
ReplyDeleteHaving the greatest TE in NFL history never won us squat. It's probably a half step up from having the greatest fullback in history. So as much as Tony probably thinks he wasted 12 years in KC, the same can be said in reverse. Maybe if we had an upper echelon QB, or better WRs, etc, maybe we would have done better. Maybe if hadn't insisted on being so highly paid maybe we could have afforded to get better players to surround him with so we could have fielded a better team.... As it were, we lived thru 12 years of #88 with him being one of the highest paid players in the NFL thru most of it.
Tony pretty much showed us how he really feels. He's hardly ever in KC except for when he's getting inducted into the Ring of Honor. He could care less about our community. So Fuck him....
I could care less about the KC cheaps

ReplyDeleteWho is this guy? Does he make cheese or nuts or something?
You diplshits figure out these professional athletes are laughing their balls off at you hayseed fans yet?
ReplyDeleteKeep wearing their names on your backs you retards.
Lol tony don't care for cow town city. I remember when him and donnie Edwards were the flying burrito brothers , see nothing about pro sports last, these guys are here for da money and acclaim
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Really? As a Chiefs fan, I could care less what he thinks. Do your job. Don't like it..leave! There will be another to take your place. Kelcee is that other. He'll break all of his records anyway. What you chowder heads who post all this slop about football fans(8:51, 9:07) we don't root for the person, we root for the jersey. That's it.
ReplyDeleteActually, Kelce can’t carry Tony’s jockstrap. At Kelce’s current age of 29, Tony had like 240 more receptions.
DeleteWhile I'd like to agree with 9:19, I think the Mahomes phenomena says otherwise. The Super Bowl is the ultimate goal but we circle around some the personalities/talents on the team - especially when we're losing. We buy their jerseys, seek their autographs, watch their interviews, read about their personal lives - fans love the players. TG is reported to be an all around prick. This morning on Johnny Dare during "Sports in Your Shorts" they said he was one to turn up for an appearance at a children's hospital and then leave 10 seconds later when the cameras were off. TG is all about TG and while he's now in the HOF, he's still not a good person.
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny that TG's baby momma (probably one of several) is now with Jeff Bezos and that makes TG and Bezos "eskimo brothers".
All the women he has been with are whores. That makes him Eskimo brothers with half the NFL and NBA.
DeleteFuck Tony G, overrated POS kind of like that quarterback we now have. MVP my ass.
ReplyDeleteFuck Tony. Take his name of the Ring of honor.
