KCPS superintendent: 'Gun violence is a community illness'

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - With a tone of sadness and frustration, Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent Mark Bedell said Wednesday that he was "tired" of violence in the community, one day after a teenager was killed on Central Academy of Excellence grounds. "I'm tired. I'm just going to sit here and say this.

Gun violence is a community illness? Well then he needs to start with his community instead of just flapping about it. Every time a black community gets together there is crime. ALWAYS!

We actually have not heard of instances of violence in the KCPS buildings in a long time. Either they are making strides or they are not reporting it. I had not thought about that until this thing happened last night and hit the news.
I do agree with Bedel that the violence is a community problem. Black on Black crime is at an all time High I think just based upon the murders in KCMO. So while I only have one suggestion in curbing the violence my comment would not be appropriate. It is time for mommy and daddy to search the good boy's and girl's rooms for evidence and confiscate it. Just sayin they are not as innocent as you want to believe.

A big problem in the Black community is that the parents support the thinking that the PO PO are the problem and are not to be trusted. That would be wrong thinking.
They need to be teaching kids to trust the police and if they see something, say something. Get the bad guys off the streets.

Who's hiding out the shooter?

Slie will get right on this and have several of his failed feel good organizations host a pizza party, round table discussion, form seven sub committees, wait 8 months for the members to be appointed by the council and require the committees to have a report ready in 24 months. All the while this nonsense continues happening.

Ha.

Look in the mirror, superintendent.

See that skin color?

THERE'S the disease.

If dumb fuck Bedel is tired of all the violence in the “community”, perhaps he should move to a black community that doesn’t have violence. Good luck finding one.

Bedel is part of the problem, they don’t teach anything at kcps, they’re just bodies to count when it comes time for the feds to pay them.

Fake fat revruns got their face time.

How many kids from KCMO schools end up in MDOC because of behavior like this?

They should teach the traditional black arts and sciences like housekeeping, shoe shining, cooking, gardening, chauffeuring, etc. They excelled in these roles and were far less violent.

"Bedell also spoke about strategies KCPS has implemented to combat the issue, including mentorship programs, an emphasis on extracurriculars to keep students “off the streets,” and partnerships with KCPD, churches and other faith-based organizations to help teach students how to approach conflicts without violence.

"Freedom from Religion activists, Freedom from Religion activists to the Red Phone!"

"It's a Democrat's idea, Shelley."

"Cancel that Red Phone..."
