Here's the latest reason to ignore the hype . . . This local biz has a sweet spot right near a toy train stop on a corner of the Crossroads. Sadly, the location didn't help profits or keep the biz competitive as higher rent follows trend but not the stagnant retail market. Read more:
Rising rent forces some Crossroads businesses to close
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Perhaps it's simply the price of progress, but some businesses are being priced out of the Crossroads Arts District as landlords pass along rent increases. Brioche Pastry Shop at the corner of 20th and Main streets is among the shops impacted.
Never fear! We have mega successful National Chains clamoring over each other to move into these space in this great city on our great streetcar line!
