Kansas City Star Clickbait: Tamba Hali Tweets Cite Alleged Golden Ghetto Racism

The celebrated newspaper sports section is really the last hope for the hometown paper and they're just covering social media beef like a blog but without having any fun . . . Here's a former footballer who is actually a pretty talented musician and a good dude that doesn't understand that most people in JoCo hate EVERYBODY no matter and because of their demographics. Checkit:

Tamba Hali says neighbors shun him because he's black | The Kansas City Star

Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali tweeted that he believes his neighbors in Johnson County are shunning him because of the color of his skin. Hali detailed the happenings on Sunday night.

  1. And a deeper investigation by The Star found that after an extensive neighborhood interview for their comments... Naaahh screw it. Too much work. Just take Tamba’s Word for it and print .

  2. Stop linking the Star with its paywall. Sort of find it hard to believe, most people would be thrilled to live next to a Chiefs player. What kind of neighbor is he? He considers himself a rapper is thumping bass at all hours? Something tells me there's more to this.

  3. Easy solution, move to KC's east side.

  4. Star “ Did you fact check this?”
Biased, lazy Writer in search of topic to further agenda “ Absolutely not!”
Star “ Perfect. Run with it.”

  6. Without a doubt JoCo is filled with D-bags, but they respect bucks more than anything. Hali should have plenty of those. I'd say there is definitely more to the story, or maybe not a story at all. A series of one-sided tweets saying he perceives bias. It's a shame if he legitimately feels this way, and its a shame if his neighbors act this way. But the few high-end 'hoods I've been to, everybody was generally pleasant until they saw my 10 year old car and their noses popped straight in the air. It was actually surreal, one woman actually fell over backward. I mean crap, its a 2009 Ford F-350 diesel with 60k miles and in excellent shape.

  7. Sorry Tamba, but just because you’re idolized by NFL fans doesn’t mean everyone else feels the same. Diversity is a dish that should be offered rather than force-fed and there are indeed people in JoCo that don’t want to live around blacks. History shows that there has never been a community that maintained or improved its standing once blacks started moving in. Whether said blacks are pro athletes or janitors makes no difference.
