KANSAS CITY 2019 HOMICIDE #10: MULTIPLE SHOTS FIRED AT KANSAS CITY JAZZ DISTRICT PARTY LEAVE ONE MAN DEAD AND ANOTHER CLINGING TO LIFE!!!

Without a public vote and no plan for profitability despite hundreds of millions of dollars invested, this urban core hotspot continues to host more violence than paying customers:

KMBC: Man killed in double shooting early Sunday

Deets:

"Kansas City Police are investigating a deadly double shooting at 19th and Vine. Officers responded to the area on a "sound of shots" call and found a man who had been shot to death in his car. A short time later, another male showed up to a local hospital. Police believe he was shot at the same location. He is in serious condition."

Police report multiple witnesses to the shooting incident but so far, per ushe, nobody is saying anything.

Last December Council rushed to grant the district another $10-million worth of funding before Christmas without any signs of district profitability and following $100-MILLION spent on the district since the 90s.

Again this is the 10th homicide so far this year compared to 10 murder at this time last year and 13 the year before that . . .

Developing . . .

  1. So maybe this year we'll only give the district 5 million instead of cash for killing.

    1. Two double shootings. On on Blue Parkway, one on 19th & vine. I guess that the MLK street change didn't really help much.

    2. Right near the musical musicians foundation. Maybe time to reconsider their 24 hour license.

  3. We live in the age of murderous black rage. Sad to say it’s only going to get worse. Was Lucas asleep in his car during the shooting?

  5. If we can get all the black people to hang out at 18th & Vine, it will help reduce crime in Westport greatly.

  6. Those mischievous Amish and their parties.

  7. You know what would fix this? More money. So black folks, how much more would you like is taxpayers to give you? Fifty million? I mean, you deserve it so much. Look at the tremendous success this area has been. And you fucking grifters want to somehow connect this to the Crossroads. Fuck that. You fucking ruin everything you touch.

  8. The results of Slie and his gang throwing over $100 million into a failed idea in a failed area. The people of KCMO needs to get used to KCMO failing. This is the new norm. Eventually Slie will realize he failed in this area as the money did not drive the homicides away from the downtown utopia.

  9. Cheepto should be proud of the way she grifted big $$$ from this fiasco.

  10. Hey, why don't we run the streetcar down to the 18th & Vine and see if that doesn't help quell the violence. I'm sure that would work.

  11. You have to be out of your freaking mind to be hanging out there at 2am on a weekend night.

  12. ^^^^^ Truth.

  13. ^^^^^^You have to be out of your freaking mind to be hanging out there any time of the day.

  14. The 18th and vine area is an attempt to keep alive the memory of a time gone by. Nothing wrong with that
But there is something wrong with a City that never seems to be able to have a tourist area without a shooting. Kansas City isnt alone in this, it just seems to be a side effect of any large City in the country. As bad of a mayor James has been, its not his fault that some people have no respect for others

  15. ^^^ he has allowed this to happen, constant police interference, siding with Frankie boy and petersucker by letting murderers off with time served while waiting in the county jail, he’s implicit in all crimes in killa shitty that’s for damn sure

  16. Millions and millions dumped into this district and every year people get shot there. I’ve never been, and I don’t plan on ever going.

  17. $10 million dollars without a referendum. These idiot council members are voted in by the majority black voters with zero skin in the game. They don't care that the people they elect make stupid decisions, like flushing money down the drain to try to prop up the Jazz District. When I see these voters protesting and marching, I never hear them complain that the very people they vote for hand $10 million dollars to support a tourist destination that loses money yearly. Do you know how much good $10 Million would do for a community that actually needs it? Where residents live? Yet, these voters keep voting in the same people who turn around and dump on them. We can only hope the Paseo name change to MLK Boulevard will keep the tourists away from the area so they won't get shot too.

  20. If they got rid of the worthless so called jazz museum, the negro leagues baseball museum would thrive bigly. Every decision made for 18th & vine revolves solely around supporting the one thing holding the entire area down. #shutitdownnow

  21. I’m hoping for 250 this year!

    ReplyDelete
  22. 250 would be a job well done. We need to have some hip hop event in the Jazz district and we would get to 250 easily.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Why don't white parts of town get a liquor licence like the Jazz District? It's only fair. If Knuckleheads had a 4AM license people still wouldn't shoot each other there. Giving the hoodrats extra hours to shoot people is insane.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Insane? I call it genius.

  25. Reed and Lucas bully their fellow weak council members and divert City funds to the worthless 18th and Vine district. Worst thing for an already divided City. The council should be ashamed of itself...

  26. 8:47 has a point about connecting it to the cross roads if it just going to be a cruise lane of chaos. What, no one can sneak away with your cell and report who did this without babbling it to a 'friend'. Ya you should consider taking away the foundation 24 license, exactly as a threat, or use the 10 million to put security cameras everywhere.
Who shows up at the foundation before 3am anyway.
