Recent Jax Co. tax hike could pay for upgrades at courthouse

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Updates at the aging Jackson County Downtown Courthouse could be coming out of your pocket. That's because last year the county legislature rolled back a 10-year-old tax cut. The $19.5 million now generated through the property tax increase goes into a county improvement capital project fund .

  1. If Edgemoor is building a new Jackson County jail it will cost 5 times the county's estimate.
More planned obsolescence by Jackson County mirrors KCMO. Would be nice if someone in the local government understood the value of maintaining and improving infrastructure.
KCMO is again going to get hit very hard as they are probably not adhering to replacing sewers and water lines per the EPA mandate. They are not transparent about the progress.
