  1. Frank can't fix the pipes himself but he's going to need to pass an emergency ordinance to fix this. You're talking about digging up the entire foundation to find the source of the leak.

  2. Frank does not have time for this as he is busy trying to refinance his house.

  3. The Courthouse is 85 years old, what do you expect? The Courthouse sits above 100 year old water pipes that are failing all over the city. During the Summer,at 8th and Pennsylvania, the Water Department replaced a broken main that had "1865" stamped on the pipe. WTF. But we worried about a toy train, airport and developers.

  4. ^^^^ Actually it's two water pipes and they're doing a lot of damage. Sorry you are so concenred about social justice. Some of us actually care about real things like maintenance for government buildings.

  7. Right now the County could probably use the space in the Truman Corthouse for offices instead of it still being used to house a private art collection. Of course, the art's owner is the guy who not so secretly helped bail Frank White out of foreclosure.

You mean the same guy who "hired" Skippy Sanders, or at least made large payments to the corrupt fuck, for about a year before Sanders was carted off to federal prison?

  9. Frank is planning on taking out a second mortgage on the courthouse to finance the repairs and pay for a new jail.

  10. Flooded office buildings are no fun to deal with believe me I have had to do it. From what I hear the costs for this will be staggering. Water can do a lot of damage and do it fast. Then you have to deal with all the mold issues afterwards if the clean up isn't done right the first time. And we all know how well local government is about doing it right the first time. People time and time again never ever think about a basement flooding till it happens. But there are many ways to prevent a lot of damage if a basement area is properly set up to deal with incidents such as this.

  11. County could sure use those 10's of millions wasted on the Rock Island Corridor.

  12. I’d like to donate a toaster so Sly and Frank can cook breakfast in the office.

  14. Jackson county buildings are dangerous to the public. There are inadequate fire exits on the 1st floor/main floor of the downtown courthouse. I once saw a grounding lightning rod stabbed into the roof on 3M from the high roof above so watch yourself. No sprinklers, elevators that violate code, boxes stacked against stairwell exits, fire hazard crap all over the place. They are worried about PAINT COLORS. Try to do all of your business with them online if you have to at all, and AVOID AVOID AVOID going to any of them. The entire county is a MASSIVE code violation because THEY SELF INSPECT and no one cares. Go read "the fall of the house of usher"

  15. Courthouse built in ... 1936? That means constant maintenance and also huge costs when something needs fixing/renovation. Not sure what an attack on the elected county executive accomplishes here though...
