TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY KEEPS FORGETTING COUNCIL DUDE SCOTT WAGNER IS RUNNING FOR MAYOR!!!

Kansas City politicos like to think they're kind of a big deal but the reality is that very few of them resonate beyond a small circle of civic-minded locals and the shrinking number of registered voters.

And so tonight our blog community notices . . .

COUNCILMAN SCOTT WAGNER CONFRONTS CONSTANT MISTAKEN IDENTITY AND STRUGGLES TO MAINTAIN VOTER SHARE OF MIND DESPITE 8 YEARS IN OFFICE & SERVING AS MAYOR PRO TEM!!!

A well-informed local offers proof of this tragic fact of life . . .

"Wagner for KC has zero chance of becoming Mayor. His name ID is so bad that the Kansas City Startup Foundation used the picture of 2018 Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner to promote their upcoming forum."

This has been an ongoing problem for the Council dude . . . In a recent debate he had to take the blame for Council Dude Taylor's economic adventures and attempted to clarify for tax fighters: "Judging by the segment you are referring to the wrong Scott."

Fact of life:

IN THE TALE OF TWO SCOTTS, WAGNER MOSTLY STAYS LOSING!!!

And so . . . We remind locals that Scott Wagner is the only Northland politico running for office who, strangely, isn't getting a lot of love from his own constituents and even less from the metro overall.

While he doesn't resonate for the Conservative set, he is easily one of the most approachable Council members and at least attempts to reach out to neighborhood leaders whilst so many of his colleagues running for mayor seem untouchable.

Still there's hope . . .

A very smart person recently told us . . . "The best don't rise to the top in a Kansas City Mayor's race."

And so tonight, in the winter of our discontent . . .

We offer a look at one of many politicos desperately searching to stand out from the crowd.

You decide . . .

  1. Problem is that Wagner hasn't done much to stand out. Even Taylor has been more active in South KC. The nice guy routine can only take an office holder so far. There has to be more there, there.

  2. I don't think they're forgetting. More like politely ignoring.

  4. Wagner was never going to become Mayor but just as much as Jermaine, there's nowhere for him to go but down. I'm sure he'll claim the whole Northland when he endorses and probably get a great corporate job like half of the former council members.

  5. Scott with never dazzle you with his low IQ and stupidity like Jermaine Reed, Lardassia Canady and drunken Quinton Lucas will.

  6. ^^^^ Don't underestimate him!

  7. Taylor is the slightly stronger of the two scotts.

  8. Ha Ha Ha Ha hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! A white guy trying to win the Mayor's office in Kansas City. Sure...

  9. Where do I get my Clay Chastain yard sign?

  10. With the amount of liberal identity politics that have run amok in KCMO I dont see a heterosexual white male winning the mayors office. Hell, im surprised there are not demands for a transgender candidate yet.

KCMO voters dont vote on good policy or crime prevention.

  11. @10:18 - no transgender candidate?
What about Jolie (formerly Johnny) Justice?

  12. I thought clay was the only one running, who are these other people you speak of???

  13. Jolie Justus thought the airport would be underway by now and she could claim credit and become mayor. NOT SO!! It’s billions of dollars over budget and she’s to blame for shoving this project onto the public. DO NOT VOTE FOR JOLIE

  14. Wagner's proposal to raise property taxes was the dumbest of dumb ideas and should be listed under "How Not to Win Political Office".

  15. Turnout is as low as ten percent for municipal elections which are Feb and April if I'm not mistaken so whoever had strongest get out the vote game will advance in a crowded field.

Why wouldn't Wagner try to run for a county office or the mo legislature??

    Thanks, Radish
