Missourians to get February Food Stamp benefits early due to shutdown

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KCTV) - Missourians who are eligible for food stamp benefits will receive their February benefits by Jan. 20. The United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) -- which administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or "the food stamp program" -- told states that payments for the February SNAP benefits must be issued early due to the partial federal government shutdown.

  4. Well there not just black people getting food stamps I know of two household in central Hyde Park who live in houses big enough for two families that are getting food for free, so for some who need it this is bad, but for some who don't like the Hyde Parker's who are stealing it's good.

  6. Some of you people are terrible. Do you not realize that not all people are scamming the system, or are people of color that many of you insist on separating out as not as deserving as the rest of the population.

    There are many people out of work through no fault of their own, senior citizens, disabled and senior citizens that are also disabled that receive snap benefits.
