Really great list from blogger Sarah with some solid suggestions sure to enrage locals whose favorite dive was forgotten . . . Still, a visit to all of these places is a must while winter heavy clothing still disguises extra calories. Take a look:
The 12 Most Delicious & Affordable Mexican Restaurants in Kansas City -
1. Cancun Fiesta Fresh Cancun Fiesta Fresh has the best tacos and quesadillas. You can choose to order hard shell or street tacos for $1.75 each. They even have delicious tamales that you can order in bulk. All kids meals are 4.99 each! My favorite meal at Cancun Fiesta Fresh is the #7 Three Enchiladas ...
Well, in Kansas City, there's "Teocali" on Hospital Hill, and then there's "The Other Mexican Restaurants ".
ReplyDeleteSarah is only talking about "The Others", but nobody cares about them.
She had me interested until I saw Ponaks on the list
ReplyDeleteShe's based in Kansas City huh?
ReplyDeleteYou can rely on your old mans money
ReplyDeleteWow man
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say these are the top of the list in KC. Based on the selection criteria of the reporter she forgot to add Taco Bell as #1
ReplyDeleteChi Chi's is the best: https://bit.ly/2FXAwAZ
ReplyDeleteEl Pollo Rey!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEl Pollo Rey, San Antonios...This is a white girl list if I've ever seen one
ReplyDeletePonak's?
ReplyDeleteYou may not believe me but, Jose Peppers in Mission us awesome.
ReplyDeletePonaks is a small step above Don Chilitoes. Only difference is you cannot see Ponaks microwaves.
I get that Ponaks is special to some folks. There is no accounting for taste. But Taco Republic and In-A-Tub? Did she just run out of places shes been to and just threw them in there?
ReplyDeleteWuuuuut??!! MANNY'S is the best for pork burritos, chicken flautas, all their fajitas, guac, sauces, chips with cheese dips, heck....the whole enchilada, er, MENU!! The lunch combos and meal selections are generous enough for leftovers (if you have a couple of dips to share, and a cerveza, or two, for sure). Prices are fair for great quality food. And, there's not mountains of shredded lettuce in place of REAL food like that place ^6:25^ mentions.
ReplyDeleteThe michicoan grocery/restaurant on Minnesota is disgusting. Don't eat at el Camino real on 7th if u care about food safety (one in argentine seems better). Last time I ate at ninfas there was a long hair embroidered in a taco. Disgusting. I'd go to Daisy's just a few blocks away also in Kansas Ave.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin
Thanks, Radish
Look if you want good real Mexican food find a friend or friend of a friend who is Mexican and has a mother or grandmother 60 plus years old and have them make you an original Mexican dinner. Then you will know what the real thing tastes like and not this stuff most places shove at you calling such.
ReplyDelete^^^^Ugh. Retard. Yea, I'm gonna call up my Mexican friend and say hey Jose....isn't your mother over 60? He'll say si, I'll say, have her make me an original Mexican dinner post hast senior! Goddamn stupid dave the shit that you post is so fucking retarded! Herp derp!
ReplyDelete1243, you have a crass style. But make a good point.
Deletei knew taco's would bring this city together.
ReplyDelete"post hast senior"???? Dave's not the stupid one.
ReplyDelete^^Umm..Dave is always the dumb one. You can count on that.
ReplyDeleteJustin Rey is (was) a big fan of Ponak's per his court attire.
ReplyDeleteThe writer has had too much salsa that it's affected the brain. Barriga's in Greenwood is the best, and you can take that from a hard nose Mexican.
