TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY VETERANS CONTEMPLATE SUICIDE AMID FAILING HEALTHCARE SYSTEM!!!

Possibly one of the most disturbing trends touted by local media . . . American Seppuku amongst the troops after little help from the VA.

A horrific local stat:

"There have been at least 12 other (suicide) attempts on VA property in the past five years. Six of those attempts took place on Kansas City’s campus. The other six took place on the eastern campuses which include Topeka and Leavenworth."

And so, here's a reality check about military life as returning soldiers need more help as endless wars endure . . . Read more:

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Mike Douglas shot and killed himself inside his truck at the VA parking lot on June 13. He suffered from PTSD and, most recently, cancer. Douglas served in the Navy during Vietnam. He loved guns, knives and swords. "He said I don't care where you bury me don't bury me at Leavenworth.

  3. I have never understood why a person who was in the military for two to four years should be entitled to lifetime free medical care, other than for service related disabilities. Veterans already got, or were entitled to get, a whole range of benefits (e.g. educational, home loan) that were not available to other citizens.

  4. The threat that I care about the least is:
"If I don't get my way, I am going to commit suicide."

    Ta-ta, asshole.

  5. 12:24: They would have been available to you if you'd served. The care vets get is part of the deal for potentially putting their lives on the line.

  8. ^^^ You don't have to accept it. If it bothers you, go buy your own insurance and pay everything out of pocket. Nobody is stopping you.

  9. You Stupid democrats and your comments on here. You praised Obama and Hillary when they killed our service men with their hatred of them by putting them in harms way with no equipment, and funded terrorists. Now that Trump has fully funded them and is still trying to help them without the dirty democrats who won't help, you people are on here saying stupid stuff like: I thought Trump was going to fix this! That is how STUPID you morons are!

  10. 5:04, I'm paying for myself, but I'm paying for them too. And shouldn't have to. That is the problem.

The VA has been a mess for years and is going to take lots of money and qualified people to fix it, along with a Congress that will put politics aside and do something unselfish for the greater good. It will be a monumental undertaking. Does this sound like a job for the current people running America? Hell no.
