TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! NEW KANSAS CITY AIRPORT LOOKS FLIMSY AS CRITICS COMPLAIN OF BROKEN PROMISES!!!
Just as we predicted: The new Kansas City Airport looks like nothing more than glass and plastic garbage.
Sadly, there's barely a peep out of MSM regarding the disappointing pix and animation shared today.

Although the two-story fountain featured in the original conceptual design is still absent, the architect from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) assured city councilmembers that they’re working on one, possibly in the retail area.
The first thing that Kansas City residents will see approaching the airport is… the parking garage.
Better than that and EXCLUSIVE for our blog community . . .
KANSAS CITY TAX FIGHTERS DENOUNCE BROKEN PROMISES ON THIS DEAL THAT THEY WARN IS DANGEROUS!!!
Perspective from local tax fighter Citizens For Responsible Government . . .
"A total and complete loss as to why the Mayor and City Council are being allowed to continue with this project. The issue that was put on the ballot and voted on, compared to what is going on now, is like NIGHT and DAY. The cost has gone up at least 50% depending on who is figuring what the New Terminal will cost. Also, we have gone from the original 30 domestic with 5 international gates at 900+ million to now 39 gates at $1.5 Billion. They have added gates to mask the increase in cost they planned on all along. To spend $38.4 Million + per gate is reckless and a total disregard for managing spending at the airport. We all know that $1.5 Billion will not be the end cost and over 30 years the $1.5 Billion will end up costing the flying public (The Tax Payers) close to $3 Billion which makes the end cost per gate $76.9M per gate!!!
"I truly think the Airlines are now realizing with a "Residual Airport Agreement" they will be on the hook for the next 30 years for this unrealistic 39 gate terminal which will not provide ONE ADDITIONAL service that is critical to an airline or airport terminal concerning how they handle the flying public. The airlines are about to lose 42 active gates ( if terminal "A" was in operation 66 gates); for a single terminal with 39 gates that limits growth, stifles competition, creates congestion by putting all passengers in one terminal, and does NOTHING TO IMPROVE THE AIRLINES BOTTOM LINE!!
Best of all . . .
While mainstream media was content to recycle boring presser video, we've added a soundtrack and some observations to the new Kansas City Airport animation.
