Today's Southland tragedy marks the 120th homicide so far this year compared to 137 at this time last year . . . Politicos have been touting progress whilst the traditional X-mas time murder surge is underway once again.
Deets from the scene today:
"Officers were dispatched to a home in the 11300 block of Corrington Avenue Tuesday. The person who called 911 said they heard a disturbance, then found someone shot in front of a home. The victim, a juvenile male, was rushed to an area hospital where he later died. There is no suspect information at this time. Detectives and officers are working now to determine what led up to the shooting and exactly where it occurred."
