The city helped a property owner clear out homeless campers in a vacant industrial lot in Kansas City's Northeast neighborhood, near 14th Street and Spruce Avenue. The campers said they were treated roughly, with threats of guns and shelters set on fire.

  2. 'Campers' no, squatters yes. They won't let you do drugs in a shelter. Police reaction was rather mild compared to what I fear will soon be vigilantism.
