Kansas City Classic Thanksgiving

Perfect for #TBT and possibly the very best thing written by any local blogger today . . . Here's a reflection on history, life and local landmarks.

A truly fantastic parable that deserves a look . . . Check it:

A river town Thanksgiving

It's the night before Thanksgiving. Henry, a cook in a restaurant at 18 th and Prospect, is hitching a ride home with his boss, Vogel. Henry's houseboat is moored on the Clay County shore of the Missouri River, below the Armour-Swift-Burlington bridge.

  1. "Free speech is increasingly imperiled as nations around the world turn to authoritarianism, which comes packaged as everything from iron-fisted dictatorial rule to coercive “progressivism.” One thing every brand of authoritarianism has in common is speech codes. Dissenting ideas dilute authority, so they must be suppressed. We should be thankful for the free speech that remains, and rise from our Thanksgiving tables prepared to fight for it."

    Happy Thanksgiving.

I give thanks this day, for "Free Speech" and hope we can continue to enjoy it, in spite of the Anti-fa Progressive Fascists who would see authoritarian scum rule us all.

Chuck, I love ya, but you're being a Debbie Downer. Hope you don't read your comments rather than say grace today!

I'm grateful for Tony producing TKC, every day of the year. Thanks, Tony.

OK, French silk pie for everyone! And for those who are nuts, a slice of pecan as well.
