FAMILIES OF MISSING AND MURDERED KANSAS CITY VICTIMS GATHER SUNDAY AT JACKSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE STEPS

While politics will dominate the headlines for the next 48 hours, these locals hope their advocacy inspires more awareness regarding the plight of families impacted by rising local violence.

Perspective from today's gathering:

"There's a real problem in Kansas City," a member of the group said. "I mean, it's mind-blowing that this happens and people turn the other way and don't speak up and say anything."

However, it's not just those who stay silent. The families say city leaders need to step up to keep criminals on the streets, before another family is standing on the steps of the Jackson County Courthouse.

  1. hate to say it but voting is a big part of this. Time to start voting no on a lot of those judges and county officials. But if you keep on sending the same people back to the courthouse you'll get the same results.

    1. What is the murder count so far?

    2. 112 is the official count but it's actually a lot higher than that.

  2. Good luck with that, mean jean and sLIE are keeping the murderous blacks out on the street, no way they will put murderers in jail

  3. Considering there are over 100 homicides in KCMO year after year after year, Arrowhead wouldn't be big enough to fit them all in if all the victims' families showed up for this event.
The small size of this crowd shows how hopeless people have become with the lack of interest in the public safety issue in the city.
    Sad.

  4. Imagine these poor families and unsolved murders.
The Homicide resolution rate is about 50 percent.
A coin toss 50/50 you'll get away with murder in Kansas City.
Very poor showing for such a city.
