Mr. Rose fired back with a tribute to his moderate credentials over the week.
His money line:
"I can say unequivocally that I am a Republican cut from the same cloth as Bill Graves, a moderate Republican who served as Kansas governor for two terms, 1995-2003 . . "
And just now . . .

And so, the argument that Fmr. Kansas Guv Bill Graves is a benchmark for "moderate" opposition against Congressman Yoder has been effectively rebuffed.
This is important for a lot of reasons and, in no small part, because OUR AWESOME TKC BLOGGY DISCOURSE that challenges local talking points and doesn't just accept the "news" or op/ed debate at face value is driving the discourse that will have an impact on the future of American Democracy in a highly contested election.

Group of State and Local Leaders Announces Support for Yoder
Overland Park, KS - Today, the following group of state and local community leaders have announced their support for Kevin Yoder's re-election in November. The group is led by Former Governor Bill Graves and Former Congresswoman Jan Meyers.
"Congressman Yoder is a tireless advocate for our community and a leader on the issues that unify Americans across the political spectrum," said Graves and Meyers in a joint statement. "He knows what is most important to families in our community because his life's work has been public service in Kansas. In these contentious political times we need Congressman Yoder's positive voice and problem-solving mentality to make meaningful changes in Washington."

I don't see Super Dave's name on that list and he hates all queers no matter what gender. He hates everyone but white people just ask him so.

I'm not on the list and frankly could care less that I am not. Just because Steve Rose can't remain neutral or quiet doesn't mean I can't about my political choices. I and only I know who I vote for when I step into that voting booth.
ReplyDeleteI will say I as a rule don't like any of them running for office for one reason or another. Been many a year since I have seen someone who ran for office that had a clear agenda in mind and not a bunch of special interests items. But they were just too damn down to earth and honest to have ever been elected. Honesty is a no no in the political arena.
yoder is a mainstream RINO and was always going to win.
