TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! INSIDERS FEAR CINDY CIRCO COMEBACK RUN FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR!!!

For the midday we share FIRST NEWS of this Kansas City political game changer that threatens to shift the balance of power in the mayoral race.

We were gonna save this for (#TBT) Thursday but it looks like the lesser newsies are already asking around about it so we decided to DROP THE BOMBSHELL and just call it our wayback Wednesday celebration . . .

INSIDERS: FORMER COUNCIL LADY CINDY CIRCO SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING A RUN FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR!!!

Now here's where it gets even more fun . . .

The plebs might have a knee-jerk reaction and talk about how she can't win . . . In this crowded field, that's not entirely correct AND that's also not the point . ..

Here's the word from one of many sources talking this move behind the scenes:

"Burns and Mac is one of many players from THE CHAMBER pushing Cindy Circo to get into the mayoral race to take votes away from Council Member Jolie Justus and help get Councilman Scott Taylor elected."

3D chess political moves are finally starting to emerge from local biz. Translation: The lady we like to call "SEXY CINDY" doesn't have to win, she just has to have a bunch of parties and give lady voters another option beyond Council Lady Jolie. She could even go back to her day job afterward even thought we hear she doesn't really fit in among the suits despite her nice salary and impressive efforts at self-improvement.

Make no mistake, a Cindy Circo comeback TRUMPS Council Lady Jolie and also gives some connection to the Northland beyond Council Dude Wagner because Cindy has been much more connected across the bridge since her council days.

Whilst she openly wept in public about the commenters on this blog, we urge our readers to be gentle as this top ranking lady threatens to upend the scope of the race and ease back into old school political lifestyle.

Developing . . .

  1. Cindy > Jolie.

There, I've done the math. This isn't so bad.

    2. WTF? Is there anybody who is NOT running for for mayor? This is getting ridiculous and I know that Cindy is not the only one who is thinking about jumping in for laughs. At this point you don't have to have a plan or name recognition. Just get the signatures and ask people for money. Maybe this is our new jobs plan in KC? Run for political office.

  3. Oh she would no doubt stir the pot up some if she were to run. But facts are she isn't any more qualified for the job than anyone else has shown so far.

So as of now there still isn't a candidate running for Mayor of the likes that is needed in Kansas City.

Bernie Mac backing someone is all the reason the voters need to not vote for that person.

    1. +100 ^^^^^^^^^ Super Dave nails it. The endorsements might actually play a big part in this one and if Circo has the favor of the chamber or the civic council, there is the reason to oppose her.

  4. Let's dig up the general and see if he can run again, he got more votes than most of these career politicians will.

  5. She got a good taste of KC mayor/council perks the last time she was in office. No responsibilities, no consequences, take care of the in crowd of developers and lawyers, free meals at the River Club. She's just looking for more taxpayer funded overseas vacations.

  8. Of course Burns & Mac is for her. No one is more responsible for turning over the City's Water & Sewer System to B & M than Circo. Check your water bill next month and don't even think about Circo. All your hard earned money is going to the Burns & Mac boys from Leawood and Lee's Summit!!

Now she's got a no show job a KCP&L making sure your electric bills go up!

    2. Many candidates grab email lists from the state or local party, professional organization directories, etc., and add people to their email list software. That is spam. They should have an opt-in sign up on their websites to get email addresses of those who want their newsletter. So it is an important question - are they a spammer or will they pledge not to send spam? Thanks for asking!

    3. Thanks for explaining. And since you sound genuine and lacking snark, I just want to make sure you're aware that your email software most likely has a spam filter that this correspondence could flow directly in to. To me, that seems like a more reasonable way to deal with spam than having it directly influence who you decide to vote for. That said, I agree with you on the opt-in thing.

  12. I don't live in KC so I beg your pardon, but is there a primary or something? Or is this just a free for all election?

    ReplyDelete

    1. There is a primary but we've got at least a dozen people running so far so it's kind of an all-or-nothing deal or everyone who thinks that they can make it past the others.

  13. At least she isn't colored. Kansas City can't survive the incommpetence and corruption of another colored mayor.

If she can take out Jolie then maybe she isn't so bad after all. Possibly a way to redeem herself after all the corporate welfare she has been responsible for pushing through city council. I wasn't a fan of hers but I realize there are far worse out there than her. Honestly Cindy Circo for mayor is sent the worst that we could do and that's probably the biggest endorsement you'll get from a real person regarding this horrible election coming up.

  26. Teresa Loar should run for mayor she was so effective advocating to "renovate KCI to the bones" and so effective in raising 7-council votes to do so she should have the top job. NO! WAIT!! The public voted 70% to demolish KCI and build a new single-terminal. That's right, Teresa Loar was on the wrong side of the issue. After telling everyone she met for weeks/months/years a renovated KCI would mitigate all the 9/11 safety concerns and running her mouth about modernizing KCI and spending countless taxpayer dollars going to airport conferences she did nothing but embarrass her self and her colleagues. Not to mention Crawford Architects who she bamboozled into drawing up her “renovation to the bones” idea. There is a reason KC is called "Cow town". It’s from wine swilling and ineffective political hacks like Teresa Loar.

  29. 3:41pm is certainly right!
    Round up the usual suspects.
But why stop with the list so far, as long as it may be?
There are "public servants" like Carol Coe, Michael Brooks, and a very long list of has-beens that haven't even been mentioned yet.
And why choose someone the public doesn't know much about when you can instead vote for an individual who you already know is incompetent, untrustworthy, uninterested in city government, and whose number one priority is themselves?
    Don't take a chance.
    Vote for a known loser.
There are plenty to choose from.
