KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV/AP) -- UPDATE: On Thursday, a judge denied setting bond for James Samuels. The judge deemed him a danger to society. All previous coverage is below. A former Kansas City fire captain accused of putting guns in the hands of felons will appear in court on Thursday.

He isn’t running anywhere other than federal prison. This is not going to be probation from Jean Petersucker Baker, he’s going to do serious prison time, as he should.
