Kansas City fast food workers are in the midst of organizing the next phase in their fight against a corporate foodie behemoth.
"Women who work at McDonald’s say they are fed up with supervisors who grope them, ask for sex, and expose themselves on the job. When they report the behavior, managers ignore them, they say, or even punish them. So they’re going on strike.
"On Tuesday, September 18, women employees at McDonald’s franchises in 10 US cities will stage a walkout to pressure the company to address the problem, according to the Associated Press."

March with Stand Up KC’s Fannie Lou Hamer Women’s Committee on Tuesday September 18th at 12pm. Low wage workers, women’s organizations, people of faith, unions, and community allies will demand the formation of a committee that includes McDonald’s workers; McDonald’s corporate and franchisee representatives; representatives of leading national women’s rights groups to address sexual harassment issues at the company. This committee would chart a path forward to make sure nobody who works for McDonald’s faces sexual harassment as part of the job
