TKC READER CAPTURES LIME SCOOTER DOUBLE DOWN IN KANSAS CITY AMID RISING HIPSTER INJURIES!!!

Special thanks to a late night lurker/reader who witnessed the new shipment of Lime scooters hitting local streets.

Moreover, here's a couple of more stories regarding the dangerous pastime sending more people to the hospital across the nation . . .

An AWESOME TKC READER notes . . Here's the other part of the "scooter mania" engulfing KC that those scooter companies don't want publicized!

WaPo: Scooter use rising in major cities. So are trips to the emergency room.

Trending locally . . .

KMBC: Doctors now treating electric scooter patients in Kansas City

As always, we want readers to be careful of sketchy social media trends that often result in real life consequences. Hopefully, more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!

  1. Scooter riders hit cars, they hit people and they hit curbs and break arms. The city needs to impose more regulation and not just jump aboard this stupid bandwagon.

    1. Ummmmmm, pretty sure stupid bandwagon is what powers most "transit" trends outside the bus - Which actually moves the most people in KCMo.

  2. I didn’t event think about this....with the shit sidewalks and roads KCMO has....I mean no wonder. It makes complete sense. Hey, come get your queer hipster scooters but guess what our sidewalks are so F’D you are going to flip it and go down hard.

Why? Because your tax dollars are at work instead for airport planning by union assholes and corporate leeches. it’s completely dysfunctional right now. Who wants to bet there needs to be a million dollar “study” about these stupid scooters by some firm with ties to city hall?

  4. 12:35 sounds like the toy train but they’re hiding the injury part from the public for toy train

  5. How far will scooters go if you weigh 300?

  6. Kansas City City Hall and Mayor James = Dysfunctional and racist city.

  7. Hipsters are cunts. They could be injured eating avocado on toast. Fucking pussies.

  8. When the city downsizes Main street to 2 lanes in order to accommodate more scooters you can be that failed infrastructure will be repaired extremely fast. Also the city is eliminating the on street parking in this area. More momentum at the price of convenience and free fair weather toy train rides.

The city fails to realize vehicle traffic will move to some other street and more complaints from citizens about vehicle traffic.

  9. Don't know if its good or bad, but the scooters go faster and get you there quicker than the toy train. Then again, that's true of most everything.

  10. Tony:
When is your captcha going to asking to identify fair weather toy scooters or bongs?

  11. Fuck downtown. I don't go there anymore. Could care less how Slime and co. screw it up. I don't give a shit 'bout Westport, the Plaza nor Crossroads. Plenty of venues in other locales to haunt and have a good (safe) time.

  12. ^^^P Lease, please, please, don't ever come down there. You would only fuck shit up. Stay far, far away in your imaginary fairy land. It's FAR too dangerous for you down there. You go to those "other safe venues"(LOL!)

  13. If they keep the happy homo's in the downtown area and away from our neighborhood these could be a good thing.

  14. I use the electric scooters to get around all the time in Kanas City and other cities. Used Bird scooters in Minneapolis Monday and Tuesday, it is a great development and I love them. Yes there is a risk, there is risk riding a bike, there is risk walking, there is a risk taking a cab, there is a risk taking Uber.
