Fox News Poll: McCaskill up in Missouri Senate race by a whisker

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, a two-term incumbent, tops her Republican challenger Josh Hawley by a narrow 44-41 percent margin, according to a Fox News poll of Missouri likely voters. Her three-point edge is within the poll's margin of sampling error. Third-party candidates get six percent.

Comments

  1. Trump cancelled his rally for Hawlery. He found out Josh favors GOP impeachments.

  2. Hillary was neck and neck with Trump too. If the last presidential election taught anything, it should be that polls are worthless; the only poll that counts is the official one.

  3. No one knows this. Remember when the news was Dewey wins over Truman. Remember when Missouri turned blue for a minute when Al Gore ran. It's not over until the vote is in and counted. Right now they are saying she's up, it's really a tie with a 3.5% margin of error.

  4. 8:49 Your post reminded me of what Joseph Stalin said about elections, paraphrasing: "It doesn't matter who votes, what matters is who counts the votes." As regards the coming election, mccaskill's luck will run out, Josh Hawley will win in November.

Unfortunately, @9:23, this Country is getting to the position that you can say the same thing about Elections!

  8. "it's really a tie with a 3.5% margin of error."

    ???

The math genius left out that the margin of error includes both + and - the results.

So Claire could be up by as much as 6.5%.

  9. What exactly has Claire done for Missouri again? The commercials I see where she’s talking about what stuff she’s done is old news, years ago old news, she doesn’t have one that says anything about what she’s done in the last two years, now she has one that says she had brest cancer that no one knew about and she turned that into people are gonna lose their health Ins. scare, god, the depth of her incompetence is astounding.

  10. 7:33 you are right on; and her voting record does NOT represent the voters who sent her to Washington; she has deserted her electorate; she must be defeated; ANYBODY but Claire!!!

  11. She may not live until the election. Pretending to have an independent streak is very stressful.

  12. The ads that claim ONE politician has so much power to sway the rest of Congress are ridiculous. Are people really dumb enough to believe this?
