Candidates Get Candid About Their Cancer Diagnoses in TV Ads

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill got personal in a recent ad, talking about something that she's never addressed in a political spot before: cancer - specifically, her own diagnosis. "Two years ago, I beat breast cancer," the two-term Democrat says to camera. "Like thousands of other women in Missouri, I don't talk about it much."

  1. Don't know that it's as much an appeal for sympathy as it is a poke in the eye for Hawley signing on (late as usual) to the GOP Lawsuit sucking up to the Insurance Companies by trying to take Healthcare Coverage away from the Elderly.

  2. According to Go4KC this, "Is Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill Playing 'Cancer Card' For Voter Sympathy?!?!," is not a fair question.

McAsskill will do anything to get the votes once she is elected she disappears.

  3. Yes she is using her breast cancer "if she even had breast cancer" to promote herself and the lies of healthcare.

Obama care is what took everyone's health care away when we were all slapped with higher costs, less coverage and penalties.

  9. "by trying to take Healthcare Coverage away from the Elderly." Be specific - what has Hawley done or said that would diminish Medicare or Med Supp coverage?

  12. Hawley cannot touch Medicare. It is a federal program.
Medicaid is a State program. Most people on Medicaid don't vote, so he can fuck them over good.

  13. she knows she's likely to lose and will need another dc job with fellow lefties, so she's voting no.

  14. That would be a really low stoop for a Dem or Rep candidate. If, and I say If she is mingling that topic in her campaign, she should bow out gracefully, retire (she’s very wealthy) and focus on staying well.

  15. Claire use to be a prosecutor. But she has announced that she would not vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh already before there has been a hearing. So she has forgotten innocent until PROVEN guilty, oh unless the accusation is 35 years old from a woman that can't offer any proof that anything actually happened. On top of that there are 60+ women saying he would never do what he is accused of doing by that one woman AND the man she says was there said that he can not remember that there was ever the party she said there was.
    Claire needs to go!
