Former Jackson County executive Mike Sanders to be sentenced for conspiracy to commit wire fraud
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Former County Executive Mike Sanders will being sentenced Wednesday for conspiracy to commit wire fraud related to inappropriate use of campaign donations. Investigators say Sanders funneled money back to himself in a scheme in which his chief of staff, Calvin Williford, also pleaded guilty to in January.

ReplyDeleteOne of Sanders' biggest crimes was finagling to make Frank White his successor as county executive. Frank is corrupt and incompetent, and he still won't tell us about the secret deal Sanders cooked up to save Frank from foreclosure. Jackson County's courthouse is a pit of liars, crooks and self-serving "public servants."
