Missouri auditor candidate faces questions over eligibility

A Missouri candidate who recently won a surprise victory in the Republican primary for state auditor is now facing questions about whether she's eligible to run. The Kansas City Star reports that Saundra McDowell will face Democratic incumbent Nicole Galloway in the Nov. 6 general election.

  2. I couldn't care less about the financial issues. But you can't just decide "I think I'll move to Missouri in two years" to establish residency. You can establish domicile here, and reside elsewhere with intent to return. But if you haven't resided here yet, intent to move here doesn't cut it.
