Kobach's lead in GOP governor primary cut in half after vote mistake discovered

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach's lead over Gov. Jeff Colyer in the Republican primary has been cut by more than half after election officials discovered a mistake in the listing for one county's results in the state's tally. The mistake means Kobach's lead has fallen to only 91 votes from 191 when final results were reported after Tuesday's primary.

  6. Isn't it beneficial for Colyer to be the front runner? I live in missouri and don't give a shit, but seems like everyone seems to hate kobach and have zero opinion about Colyer, which makes me think he might have the advantage in the general election over the democratic candidate. Guess I don't understand the difference

  7. Colyer is an unknown because he was Lt Gov for two terms. Nobody knows or cares about it.

That is until the ads roll out reminding everyone he was Brownback's Lt and cheerleader for his failed agenda that ruined the state's finances, drained highway funds, slashed school funding, and downgraded the credit rating.

Kobach's anti-brown people policies or Colyer as Brownback's 3rd term - they are different, but both really shitty choices.

  8. Anyone who thinks there's an opportunity for Democrats here is fooling themselves.

If every Democrat that voted Tuesday showed up in November and only half the GOP voters did the Republicans still take the governor's office in a landslide.

The Democrat party's only relevant in Kansas because of the massive media offensive paid for by out of state leftist and Democrat interests. Despite the lip service, they've alienated traditional Kansas blue collar and agricultural families in the state in favor of far left social justice causes that don't resonate with many.

9 of 10 voters in 2010 ratified a new, stronger amendment to the state constitution that protect the right to own firearms, yet Laura Kelly herself this week touted that she wanted more gun control. While many families are hard pressed for spare cash and many can't afford to send their kids to State colleges Democrats are allowing illegal aliens to go at the reduced in state rate, supported more taxes on income and taking food from their mouths in the form of sales tax on groceries.

    Blue wave? Not hardly.

  9. ^^^ I heard the same type of crap about Democrats in 2002 and 2006.

    The result?

    Democratic Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius.

This year's wave will include new Democratic House Reps for districts 2 and 3.
