An interesting conversation and a double edged sward which neither urban planners nor politicos can solve . . .
Intense poverty in American cities often inspires higher crime rates but, then again, crime as a result of income inequality if often a byproduct of planting low-income subsidized housing in an otherwise nice part of town . . . Rather than thinking critically about this conundrum, it's easier for partisan hacks to retreat to their safe spaces on competing cable news shows funded by the same car insurance companies.

St. Louis Suburbs Again Dominate 'Safest Cities in Missouri' List
click to enlarge If "safety" is your chief concern, you can't do better than many suburbs of St. Louis County and their near-neighbors, which again dominate SafeWise's " Safest Cities in Missouri" list. This year, no less than seven area municipalities made the top twenty, all of them featuring enviably low crime rates.
Race to the bottom driven by race.

ReplyDeleteSure kinda like Ferguson? I don't believe it.
The incident of those black teens causing fights at the Sleeze scummitt pool was epic.
ReplyDeleteNot comparing apples to apples.
ReplyDeleteThe difference is, the St Louis suburbs mentioned have few blacks and are affluent. The Kansas City suburbs, Grand View, Raytona Beach, and Lees Summit are shitholes with black people everywhere.
Town & Country has a median household income of $176000. Ladue is over $160000. Grand view has a median household income of $42000 and Raytona Beach is $48000.
ReplyDeleteHa!!! Raytown is better than Grandview.
DeleteBecause EJC is getting dark AF.
ReplyDeleteThe race war may start in KC at the rate we are going. Arm up.
ReplyDeletebecause kc is split across the stateline so it's not a good comparison due to all the normal suburbs being on the kansas side
ReplyDelete7:31 is actually correct because the St Louis suburbs don’t have rental properties scattered amongst subdivisions and single family homes like the Kansas City metro. These rental properties of course become mini ghettos overrun by hoodrats
ReplyDeleteYeah if we could kill all the niggers that would do wonders.
