Show-Me Sen. McCaskill Outspending AG Hawley In Missouri Reelection Campaign

Money is pouring in from across the nation to keep this incumbent in office . . . And whilst Republicans are hopeful about their chances, there's background grumbling about AG Josh Hawley's dislike for pressing the flesh of the plebs and hitting the campaign trail.

McCaskill heavily outspending Hawley as contest heats up

Four months before the November election, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill is deploying her massive fundraising edge over GOP rival Josh Hawley to dramatically outspend him. Since April 1, McCaskill has spent close to $3.6 million in her Democratic bid for a third term.

  1. Claire was already toast and the upcoming vote on the Supreme Court nominee will be the end.
And even as weak a candidate as Hawley is, her luck at drawing bozos has run out.
All the money in the world won't help.

  4. Don't weep for Hawley quite yet. I am sure those who gave him millions in his AG run will launder in $20 or so million in dark money to help him out.

Also, keeping him away from the public is actually a pretty good tactic -- given his actual distain for his ill-educated base. It is hard for a guy who was educated at Rockhurst, Stanford and Yale Law to pretend that a bunch of fundamentalist fools aren't...well, fools. And, it shows. When he wanders off the "life begins at conception" mantra, he gets lost with the flat earthers and the gangs who think the earth is 6000 years old and the Flintstones was a documentary.
