Judge dumps Democratic bid to oust Missouri lieutenant governor
JEFFERSON CITY * A Cole County judge Wednesday tossed out a Democratic challenge to Gov. Mike Parson's appointment of a new lieutenant governor. In a scathing decision, Circuit Judge Jon Beetem said the Democratic attempt to oust former Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kehoe from his new job failed on multiple legal fronts, including whether private citizens can try to get rid of officeholders through the courts.
