Kansas City Collective Of Trans Women Seeks To Reclaim Queer History Of Electronic Music

The next time you're at the club, dancing to thumping, bass-heavy tracks, know that what you're hearing has roots in black and LGBTQ communities. These days electronic music is most strongly associated with straight, cisgender artists such as The Chainsmokers and Skrillex.

And this is the OPEN THREAD for right now . . .

Comments

  1. Straight people always kill the gay club scene as soon as it gets started.

  9. Every President travels to campaign for others in their party, Trump just seems to do it every other week. I really think it has more to do with Trump needs his validation from his base. He trots out and talks incoherently for an hour or so, laces in a couple phrases about his wall, immigrants, the US not losing on trade, press is the enemy, yada yada and dumbshits eat it up and cheer. Shit, I saw a bunch of rubes from last nights rally in Florida. You wanna talk about some inbred chicken pickers. It's funny too how since the Russians are on the Republican side, these clowns don't see any problem with election interference. It's going their way so it's all good.

  10. 4:08 you are obviously stupid and have no idea who the Koch brothers are.
