  1. The Sheriff can fix the jail when he gets the right authority. But we've heard a lot about fixing it before.

    1. Kudos to Sheriff Forte. Even he says that building a new jail in a new location is the only answer to fix this horrible mess created by Jackson County.

  2. I truly believe that a new sheriff can fix the Jackson County jail. I'm just not sure that interim sheriff Forte will be the one to do it. He seemed very unsure of the duties of his job as it stands, when he is given more authority, there's going to be an even steeper learning curve.

  3. Did mike shamin bring up the rape and employee problem about the jail or did he just play political about it asking how things could be improved?

  4. ^^^^ Excellent damn point.

I didn't hear any questions about rape or about the charges against the guards scheming with the inmates.

  5. It was skated around and Forte won't fix anything because he is garbage in the vein of SLY the dancing silverback.

  6. Wish they would stay with local issues, they seem out of their league when they talk about national stuff.

  7. Anyone asking Gwen Grant how someone else's tax money should be spent hasn't been paying attention to her antics for a very long time.
Her real answer, of course, is to give it to her.
Ruckus is nothing more than opinions and not a whole lot of facts, serious preparation, or insights.
And it probably is the "gold standard" locally, which sadly says a whole lot about "news and opinion" in KC.
Shanin should ask questions of people getting off the Main Street bus and see how that works.
