The latest fanboy lament offers a tragic comparison with better times in franchise history . . . Sadly fanboys miss the smattering of housewives and fair weather fans who have given up on the home team.

Take a look:

2018 Royals match 2015 Royals' loss total... before the All Star break

The 2018 Royals have done something that before the season would have seemed impossible: match the 2015 team's loss total... before the All Star break. Three seasons ago, the Royals lost game no. 67 in the final week of September. This year, they lost game no. 67 on July 13th.

  1. For the cost of attending and parking at the K, "fair weather fans" absolutely have a right to say "enough is enough". With this kind of a record, games should be free, or pay fans to attend!

  2. The bad KCMO city government is causing the Royals to fold. The Royals have decided that KCMO needs more than one bad thing in a year. On the positive side KCMO will have two records this year. Most murders and most losses by the Royals. Doesn't get any better than that.
