Edgemoor reaches Labor Harmony Agreement with labor unions

On Thursday, July 19, Geoff Stricker, Managing Director of Edgemoor, delivered a positive message to the KCMO Airport committee; that their firm had reached a Labor Harmony Agreement with local trade unions. Labor unions and affiliated companies have agreed to pre-apprentice training for anyone working on the site.

  1. We really don't need the unions on this. We have an abundance of Mexicans that can do the work for about 1/3 the price and without all the typical whiny crybaby union bullshit.

  2. The agreement reminds me of the song We are Family by Sister Sledge.

  3. Wait until right to work is passed and renegotiate. Then remodel, we do not need a new airport.

  4. Every time there's an "agreement" and "understanding", at least another $750,000 gets added to the final price of this fiasco.
It's just yet another group bought off.
When anything starts this shaky and then continues to spin wildly out-of-control, you know it won't end well.
And now, a playground for kids in the terminal?
You really have to be kidding.
