Family's 'Patience Has Worn Thin' Five Years After Kansas City Police Killed Ryan Stokes
Family members of Ryan Stokes, a 24-year-old black man killed by a Kansas City police officer nearly five years ago, told the Board of Police Commissioners on Tuesday that their patience for justice has "worn thin."
“Regardless of the circumstances of the event that lead to the use of deadly force, compassion from this department would have gone a long way in our worst hour,” Taylor said.

ReplyDeleteLet me understand, he was a scholar and was going to be the first person to go to college in his family, attended church every Sunday morning, fed the homeless, petted dogs on the head, read to kindergartners at their schools, was a school crossing guard, helped old ladies walk across the street, gave away all of his money to people he passed, held a part-time job and bought tickets to the Policeman's Ball every year.
