Family's 'Patience Has Worn Thin' Five Years After Kansas City Police Killed Ryan Stokes

Family members of Ryan Stokes, a 24-year-old black man killed by a Kansas City police officer nearly five years ago, told the Board of Police Commissioners on Tuesday that their patience for justice has "worn thin."

Let me understand, he was a scholar and was going to be the first person to go to college in his family, attended church every Sunday morning, fed the homeless, petted dogs on the head, read to kindergartners at their schools, was a school crossing guard, helped old ladies walk across the street, gave away all of his money to people he passed, held a part-time job and bought tickets to the Policeman's Ball every year.
