(RNS) - No single congregation in America has had the kind of recognition, or notoriety, that the Westboro Baptist Church achieved in the 1990s under its controversial founder, Fred Phelps Sr.
Of course Westboro is still around. Look at Lawrence where over 90% of men are homosexuals. Westboro has a strong message to carry.

I would agree it’s pretty close to that 90%. I went to school there in the 90s and it was easily 75%. Looks much more gay now.
