Celebrate Freebie Kansas City NARCAN

Local opioid Epidemic sign of the times . . .

$150 life-saving overdose antidote now available for free in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri was one of the last states to approve Naloxone, commonly known as NARCAN for over the counter sales, in 2017. It's a medication that can save your life in case of an overdose. But the $150 price has kept it out of the homes of some people who should probably have it.

  1. If these are truly accidental overdoses, then it's a good thing to have the antidote. I'm guessing that those poor addicts who are saved again and again, will just keep on until they finally do themselves in. Slow suicide.
