KANSAS CITY RANKS AS TOP SOCCER TOWN & LIKELY TO EARN WORLD CUP VISIT!!!

Here's a somewhat important bit of good news or at least a slight justification of mostly fake local tourism numbers . . .

TKC FIRST: Kansas City is probably going to get a World Cup game given this town's solid soccer rep.

Example:

WalletHub: Kansas City Ranks Among The Top Soccer Cities In The Nation

Soccer Fandom in Kansas City (1=Best; 146=Avg.):

6th – Performance Level of MLS Team
15th – Min. Season-Ticket Price for MLS Game
6th – MLS Stadium Capacity
5th – MLS Fan Engagement

Kansas City ranks 8th overall and 6th among large cities.

Accordingly, here's a rare win on the way for the NEXTGEN of local fanboys . . .

KCTV5: Kansas City hopes for World Cup match after FIFA elects North America as 2026 host

KSHB: The Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation hopes a match will be played in Kansas City, as it is one of 23 candidate cities in the United Bid. FIFA will be responsible for making final stadium selections.

ESPN: With Chicago out of the running, a city in the country's heartland will be needed, and the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium fits the bill.

  1. There's nothing inherently bad about this but I'm sure it'll inspire complaining nonetheless.

  2. ^^^ Not really, I just hope nobody gets killed outside of Arrowhead for suspicion of stealing an SUV. That's usually a typical KC way to die.

  3. ^^Ugh. Eat a shit-sandwich loser. Grow up.

  4. Soccer is for pussies.

  5. Oh no! This is Killa City, we can't get a big game here! This is how killa city turns into Detroit, we can't get something like this!! It will destroy our narrative about this being a terrible place to live!! What's going on? We have a narrative here.! This doesn't jibe with what we complain about every day!!! I hate soccer!!! Oh no! Maybe this is really an echo chamber for a couple dozen geezers after all?? Oh no!

    ReplyDelete
  6. KC will want to get a massive tax to spend money on projects to get it spruced up in time for the events you watch and see.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yea^^^fuck improving anything. I want so bad to bitch about this because I am sad and lonely. I hate soccer! Fuck this! I don't want it!! No!! Waaaaaa!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. So this is the way to get Team USA an in for the World Cup.

  9. We have a wonderful ownership group at Sporting KC, top notch coaching and staff, top notch facilities, top notch team and they truly care about everything. They treat the fans like family and I can’t say enough about what they’ve done for both cities, amazing, amazing people!

  10. If we could only keep the hood rats in check during the World Cup..........

  11. I've tried to enjoy soccer for years. Since I was a kid. But, as much as I tried, it is the least entertaining sport I have ever watched, hands down. Cricket? Better than soccer. Golf? Better than soccer. Water polo? Ugh, but still better than soccer. I mean, it's really that bad. Good for the team, good for soccer park or whatever they call it out there. I've been miffed that it has been a commercial success since the days KC actually got an MLS team.

  12. Kansas City won't get a game. Travel in and out of KCI is adequate but not when you're hosting international travelers and visitors. No public transportation. Too spread out. Need a car to get everywhere. Not going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  13. ^^yea, because I'm connected to those in the know! Not gonna happen if I say so!! Oh no, not on my watch! No no no no!

  14. Couldn't help noticing the girl in the picture has big luscious titties.

  15. 10:41---and she likes golden balls.

  16. World Cup fans will only stay two days before they move on to the next big game, if we’re fortunate enough to get games here it will only be two days or four games. I remember Clarkie boy talking about cutting the corners out to widen the field and that probably has to happen to get games here. I hope they can accommodate fifa to get some games, I’ve been to World Series games, a super bowl (I was young for that!) and I would really like to go to a World Cup game in the USA

Let’s not forget too that most of these fans will be from the US, not from out of the country

    ReplyDelete
  17. ^^So? who cares? If they come and watch a game and spend some money why would you complain about that. Jesus you geezers are a bunch of lame-ass dish rags. I see why geezer hater hates you all.

  18. TWO SCENARIOS
    1. KC gets a World Cup match

    TKC Spin:
“Shame: Millions of taxpayer dollars wasted on corrupt sports-industrial complex to entertain D-bag fanboys while murders continue to plague KC.”

    2. KC does not get to host a match

TKC Spin: “Murder rate in KC, Street Car, Sly James, keep World Cup away from Cowtown - all proof of phony downtown renaissance and Street Car boondoggle.”

    ReplyDelete
  19. ^^Bitch bitch bitch. Bitch and repeat.
    Two Scenarios:

1.) We get a game: I'm gonna bitch.

2>) We don't get a game. I'm gonna bitch about that too.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I vote for scenario 2 that way murder rate in KC, toy train, lying Sly James and the fake number of tourists will not have to change. Also saves the taxpayers millions of dollars. Dollars that needs to be used on failing infrastructure.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yea..no world cup games till we reduce the murder rate and every street is paved and we all learn to live in peace with each other and the world is in harmony and we bring back all endangered species and we colonize the moon and there is a chicken in every pot and we cure cancer and these complainers stop complaining

    ReplyDelete
  22. Why does everybody view our murder rate as a negative? it is mostly hood rats that are getting killed and there is nothing wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ 1031 - You must have forgotten that we have direct flights to Iceland now.

    ReplyDelete

  24. @12:49 I would encourage you to let them know what Kansas City is like, and that Kansas City is not the place they want to come to.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh good the international travelers will get to experience the plaza’s diversity when they visit this town. They need to do a PSA at the hotels to inform them to not travel east of troost and as soon as a match is over at arrowhead get the hell out of there. Do NOT stop at gas stations near arrowhead.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh boy! Another event the fucktards will never go to. Hey, I know let's complain about the city! Yay!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now if this had something to do with basketball city hall would promise billions!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Now if this was an early-bird special, the fucktards would be lining up!

    ReplyDelete
  29. be optimistic! it could happen!

    1. I can’t, I’m old. I don’t like soccer or understand it, so I hate it. I don’t go out, so I hate it when others go out. It’s easier to complain that to be constructive.

  30. Upon giving it some objective thought, if someone were to ask me about “how are things in Kansas City?”, my honest answer would be “nothing wrong there that isn’t a problem anywhere else.” In other words, yes I acknowledge there is a crime problem, questionable politics, infrastructure in need of repair, and so on. I don’t deny or make excuses for it. But show me where in “metropolitan” America you don’t have those same problems. Article in USA Today, today lists Springfield, MO as #8 “city you don’t want to live” based on crime and other stats. St. Joseph and Columbia are also struggling with crime problems; just to name some regional cities. Of course we all know about St. Louis, unfortunately. You people talk like KC is somehow unique and severe in it’s problems (what I just disregard as “trolling”), and it’s not. In reality, most people go about their daily lives in KC without problem. I go to KC a lot including downtown without incident. Just be careful and don’t invite trouble. And that’s what I would tell the World Cup.

  31. Slie needs to start buying soccer stuff now. Thousands of items. Buy, buy, buy!

Killa shitty needs to shoot all the folks needing shot before the bid.

Need to polish all the TIF and subsidy tools in case needed. Taxpayers will be happy to contribute.

KC LGBT cumunity needs to march every weekend for eight years to help.

    Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. ^^^^...and all us diaper shitters need to get on this here shitty blog and complain, complain, and complain! Use kills shitty as much as you can, say sLir every time in every post, talk about the crime! And the colored, OMG we must talk about the colored! Come on diaper dandies, if this comes to pass, our narrative is broken forever and “they” win!!!!!
